“How are you ? Not Bad”

When I came to Canada as an immigrant, the most common thing I heard was “Not Bad“. Whenever you ask someone how are you? The most common Canadian answer is “Not Bad“. I am not sure how It might have started and who used it first. But my biggest concern was that why people don’t change it. Did you ever think that we are using two negative words in this? “NOT & BAD”. Both these words are negative words which really create negative vibes as well. So I thought that I will start using only positive words. When someone comes and ask me, how are you. I reply by saying, “Fantastic “. I have observed people’s reaction on it and everyone seems very happy with that word. By saying fantastic, I was sharing something energetic and powerful with them and could see a smile on other person’s face.

I will encourage you to do an experiment that next 10 people who comes and ask you , How are you , say “Not Bad “ to five out of those ten and say “Fantastic “ to rest five . Try to see how you feel and also how other person reacted to your answer. Then you might understand the power of using positive words in our day to day life. Our mind has a beautiful auto learning system. The way we feed our brain, the same way it learns. If we feed it with positivity that’s what it will return back to you and if we feed it with negativity, then it has no option than emitting negative vibes.

Can we all take a pledge that not only us will use only the positive words, but will also encourage others to do so…

I use Fantastic; you can choose your own positive word. It will be fantastic if you share your positivity with others and mention your positive word in comments.

If you care, you will share.

****I love Negativity ****

You might be surprised with the heading and I am sure, it will make you think what this is. Here “I” is not only me, it’s all of us.

Let me ask you a question, if you truly love someone then what happens. Isn’t it, that person is in your thoughts all the time. Whenever you are talking, thinking, working or doing anything, he/she dominates your thoughts and you always like talking about your love very passionately.

Did you ever realize that we all love negativity as that’s the first thought which comes to our mind. When we think of any things either it’s related to our work, success, money or for sake anything, the first thought which comes to our mind is negative. e.g. I will fail in this . I can’t do it, I won’t be rich. More than that when we have to give any suggestion to anyone, we start with negativity by saying this to justify our negative thoughts that I am being Devil’s advocate. Why do we do so? This is because we love negativity.

Now, the biggest question that comes; why do we love negativity?

It is very interesting to understand the reason behind our passion and love towards this most important trait of ours. I will share another example of electrical wiring; mostly the electrical system is going to work the way it is wired. If we wire something to work on 110 volts, it will work on 110 volts. On the other hand, if we wire something for 220 volts, it will work accordingly. Similarly if we wire something for AC or DC, it will work accordingly.

Now, why do we start everything with negativity in general??

This is because we are wired to do so. Now you might be thinking, “Why are we wired like that?” The simple answer to that is; our electrician which was our society, parents, relatives, system, and so on, wired us to attract negativity from our childhood. Now you might be thinking; “why do they do so?” That is because that’s what they have been taught and they are passing this to generations.

I am not saying that every single individual works on that wiring, there is a small percentage of us who fought, not only with themselves but with their electricians (as I mentioned above) and created a thought process to fight with negativity every time they get a negative thought. They fought with themselves and resisted to that dominating thought, which was their first love, through positivity. It was not an easy job, but they did it because they were determined to do so. Their struggle against their own negativity made them the role model of the society and their success level was totally different than others.

Just do a small experiment with yourself and keep a check on your thoughts for few days. You will realize that 95% of the times your brain get attracted to negativity. Every time you feel that, convince yourself against it and send a strong signal to your electrical system against negativity. Slowly and steadily you will be able to change your wiring of thoughts and it will not only change your life but will change your coming generations as well. Otherwise you will keep wiring them what you have been wired with.

I am sure you like it and it will provoke your thought process.
